ARB AIR LOCKING DIFFERENTIALS

Often when crossing rough terrain, you will get stuck and lose wheel traction, no matter what sort of off-road vehicle you have.

Your standard differential directs all the vehicles power to the wheels that have the least amount of resistance. I.e. if you have one wheel in the air and the other in a ditch - your standard diff will direct most of the power to the wheel that is in the air leaving the wheel in the ditch stationary.

When you engage the air locking differential, by the flip of a switch next to the drivers seat, it locks the differential so that the vehicles power is distributed evenly to the tyres regardless of which one has the more or less resistance.

This will ensure you have maximum traction at all times and it will get you out of most sticky situations.

ARB was founded in 1975 by Tony Brown an Australian adventurer. A wide range of off road products has been developed over the years including the world renowned ARB Air Locker. This is a more competitively priced unit aimed at a wide range of 4 wheel drive vehicles.

The ARB is a replacement differential centre to be built up in third member with original crown wheel and pinion.

This is a 4 pin differential with internal air cylinder and locking ring. The pressurised air feeding through a gallery in the bearing journal.

A hole in the third member needs to be drilled and tapped for the compressed air fittings.

Half shafts available seperately.

Front and rear ARB diff lockers ready to bolt in - available for Land Rover 90, Range Rover Classic and Discovery.
